Alpharetta’s ice cream and dessert shops sit in three spots: Avalon, downtown around Main Street and Old Roswell Street, and Old Milton Parkway between Avalon and GA 400. For cakes, pastries and donuts, see our bakeries list.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Alpharetta’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 4, 2026. We added places we found in the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau’s dining listings and in Avalon’s directory, and kept them only where the place’s own site or ordering page gave an Alpharetta location. Jeni’s is also confirmed by a 2026 record in the Georgia Department of Public Health inspection database. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
