10 bakeries inside Alpharetta city limits, from French pastry and gluten-free shops downtown to donuts at Avalon and cupcakes on Old Milton Parkway.

Last checked 2026-10-04. Refreshed every three months.

Alpharetta’s independent bakeries are mostly downtown, on Milton Avenue, Main Street and Marietta Street. Old Milton Parkway has French pastry, cupcakes and a Middle Eastern bakery, and Avalon has a donut shop. For ice cream and other sweets, see our ice cream and desserts list.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Alpharetta’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 4, 2026. We added places we found in the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau’s dining listings and in Avalon’s directory, and kept them only where the place’s own site gave an Alpharetta address or a 2026 record in the Georgia Department of Public Health inspection database confirms it. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
