Playgrounds and water play in Alpharetta parks, free library story times, Avalon's play area and train, and indoor picks for rainy days, with hours.
Last checked 2026-10-04. Park details come from the City of Alpharetta’s park pages, story times from the Fulton County Library System and everything else from each venue’s own site, linked below.
Alpharetta’s city parks cover most of the outdoor basics: playgrounds, water play and room to run. The library runs free story times every week, and Avalon and North Point Mall have the indoor options for a wet afternoon.

Mid Broadwell Park opened as the city’s newest park on a 4-acre site, paid for by the 2021 parks bond. The city designed it as a neighborhood park for people who can walk there, so parking is limited.
Wacky World, the big wooden playground at Wills Park, closed after Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, for a full rebuild. The city’s page says the new playground will have adaptive surfacing and modern equipment so every child can play, with reopening planned for spring 2026. The volunteer and donor drive is at wackyworld.org.
Old Rucker Farm is the home of the city’s community agriculture program, on part of a 10.7-acre former nursery with a small stream.
