Where it is

Avalon is at 400 Avalon Blvd., on the north side of Old Milton Parkway just west of Georgia 400. Avalon’s about page puts it at 86 acres with 637 homes, more than 570,000 square feet of shops, a 12-screen theater, a 330-room hotel with a conference center, and offices.

The city’s Horizon 2045 Comprehensive Plan, adopted June 22, 2026, counts Avalon among the city’s activity centers. It estimates that workers present in “Avalon and adjacent” rose from 11,900 in 2019 to 19,400 in 2025, and says Avalon and downtown “have seen the most pronounced increases in employee presence.” It also names Old Milton Parkway as one of the highway corridors where it wants redevelopment.
