After the season, the same organizer runs the indoor Alpharetta Christmas Market on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Innovation Academy, 125 Milton Ave. It is a gift market with more than 80 vendors.

Where it is and parking

The market sets up on the Town Green at City Center, in front of City Hall on North and South Broad streets in downtown Alpharetta. The info tent is on North Broad Street.

Parking around the market is free, the organizer says, but parking areas may change because of construction projects downtown. Check our road construction and closures page before you go.

Tickets and cost

No tickets are needed, and the market does not list an entry charge. Each vendor sets its own prices.

The market accepts SNAP benefits. Take your EBT card to the Alpharetta Business Association tent, No. 1, and exchange benefits for wooden tokens in $1 and $5 amounts. Tokens buy eligible food from participating vendors; no tax is charged on eligible food and no change is given. Unspent tokens can be used on a later market day. Eligible foods are “eat it later” items such as whole produce, meat, eggs, dairy, bread loaves, honey, jams and bagged coffee, according to the market’s SNAP/EBT page. Single pastries, sandwiches and other ready-to-eat portions are not eligible.

  • Dogs: the market is dog friendly. Keep your dog on a leash and clean up after it; owners are responsible for their pets’ behavior.

  • Who runs it: the Alpharetta Business Association, with the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. The market started in 2006 in a city parking lot.
