The redistricting review
Haynes Bridge is one of four middle schools in the district’s 2026-27 redistricting, consolidation and closure process for schools north of the Chattahoochee River. The others are Autrey Mill, Elkins Pointe and Holcomb Bridge. The School Board voted Sept. 17, 2026, to start the process. The district says no zone changes, closures or consolidations have been approved.
- A Sept. 10 district presentation shaded the Haynes Bridge zone in the band for 11 to 14 more classrooms than its forecast needs by 2030-31, and marked the school for both a “potential gain” and a “potential loss.”
- The middle school forums are at Centennial High School, 9310 Scott Road in Roswell, from 6 to 8 p.m.: Wednesday, Oct. 7 (no map shown), Wednesday, Nov. 11 (first draft map) and Tuesday, Dec. 15 (revised map). Each has a virtual version the next day.
- The board’s final vote is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 25, 2027.
