Keter, the maker of resin sheds, planters and outdoor furniture, has opened its first North American headquarters and a product showroom in Alpharetta.
Keter, the international maker of resin sheds, storage boxes, planters and outdoor furniture, has opened its first North American headquarters in Alpharetta. The office includes a showroom for the company’s products.
The company marked the opening with a ribbon-cutting on Wednesday, Sept. 16, it said in a news release on Sept. 30. Mayor Jim Gilvin and Louis Thurman, president of Keter North America, spoke at the event.
“Alpharetta is pleased to welcome Keter’s North American headquarters to our community,” Gilvin said in the release. “Their relocation highlights the strategic advantages Alpharetta offers for international companies, from talent to connectivity, and we’re proud to be part of their next chapter of growth.”
Thurman said he is in his first year with Keter. “Opening our first North American headquarters in Alpharetta is a significant milestone in that journey and a reflection of our continued investment in the market,” he said in the release.
What is in the building
The company says the office is the executive base for its North American business. Keter calls it an “innovation hub” for work with customers and for launching new products.
The showroom has displays of:
- outdoor storage, including the company’s new Bar Shed
- planters and raised garden beds
- outdoor furniture and entertaining products
- home and garage organization, including products from Curver, Keter’s home products brand
- the technologies, textures and resin finishes the company uses
Keter says the showroom will be updated regularly as new products arrive. It will also show products made only for certain retailers.
About the company
Keter describes itself as a global maker of home and outdoor products with more than 70 years of history. It says it sells in more than 100 countries.
The release does not say how many people work at the Alpharetta office, what the company invested, or where its North American leadership was based before. It also does not give a street address.
